You know how sometimes you just eat to accompany a person. Well that is not my issue. My issue is that I don't like letting food go to waste. That is just part of the issue. The other part is that I eat because it is just there. For example today I had 7 taffy candies. I saw them there and I knew that I should not eat them. But I knew if I ate one I would eat more. Something said to me it won't hurt. So I ate 3. As I come back to the dish there was 4 left and I am like "sad, no one wants them" So I ate 3 and there was one left. I felt so bad that that candy was just there by itself. I felt pity for that. Man, writing this makes me feel lame. But you guessed it I ate it. The same thing happened to me at night with some subway cookies. I was full and I should have stopped but I didn't want to carry around a bag for just one small cookie. WE SHOULD HAVE ONLY GOTTEN 3 INSTEAD OF 6! This is one of my problems that I just eat because it is there. This has been an ongoing issue for me. Especially in my weak moments or in times that I am with someone eating. Ugh! I know this is lame but I just need to get it out and figure out how to stop this.

The difference is.... did you allow it to pass through you leaving it's fat and sugar and unhealthy nutrients that are more harmful to your body than helpful. I used to have this problem. Still do occasionally - particularly when I'm stressed. My solution - and you can ask my mom about this- is after you've had one or two and are full or satisfied for a moment, and are strong, hurry and get rid of it. Don't think about it. Just do it. Mush it all up, put water on it, squirt mustard all over it. Anything to make it unappealing. And don't feel bad about it because it goes to the trash one way or the other.
I personally hate waste. There are rarely any leftovers that get thrown out in my house. I use up everything. I'm always about stretching a dollar. EXCEPT when it comes to sweets and stuff that is unhealthy. I will either share the rest with neighbors, or I will destroy the enemy and throw him out. lol. Hope that helps. I know how hard saying no can be. Dr. Phil says there is no such thing as will power when it comes to food. You just have to not have it around all the time. Good luck! Becky I always look forward to your comments! you give so much good advice and I really do use it! You pump me up to keep going! Today in the morning I didn't work out since I felt like crap after eating so late and a lot and then fell asleep. But man I really liked what you said for this one. I came to work today and saw the candy dish and I thought about how I felt and it made my stomach turn. Then I read what you wrote and it gave me more motivation on not getting some. Thanks for everything!
